Sr. Product Manager, Commerce and Checkout

San Diego, CA

The Role

Based in Rancho Bernardo, a part of the Commerce & Checkout Product Management team across San Diego and San Francisco, focusing on Payments and Subscriptions Billing. The ideal candidate will have experience in payments, subscription, and services billing with a solid understanding of electronic payments, finance, and transactional systems.
 

You will work within the PlayStation® Network platform’s Payment Optimization group focusing on subscription billing along with other product and feature requirements, and supporting other solutions across the monetization service portfolio. You will work in close collaboration with product managers and business partners for both Console Platform and Service Platform to deliver a best in class payments commerce strategy!
 

Responsibilities:

• Define the roadmap and execute on payments, subscription billing management platform capabilities
• Be responsible for the ideation, research, design, development, prioritization and launch of products
• Own planning and end-to-end execution of features/programs working with an extraordinary team of engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver impact for our customers and business
• Leverage data and insights to drive quality customer experiences
• Own the documentation of product requirements from cross-functional teams and partners on multiple business levels
• Communicate and report overall status, primary metrics, crucial issues, and solution plans and readiness timelines to senior management
• Work with technical development teams to clearly convey requirements and provide insight into business rationale/benefits
• Establish cases and projected return on investment to identify and prioritize opportunities
• Lead product enhancements and new feature launches from start to finish
• Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
   

Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree or equivalent, Master’s Degree Preferred
• 6+ years of product management or related experience, preferably with experience working in payments and subscription billing platforms
• Previous experience in e-commerce with subscription billing processing
• Good workable knowledge of machine learning techniques is preferred.
• Passionate and knowledgeable about payments, with strong analytical and technical understandings
• Consistent record to work cross-functionally, collaborate, influence, and work as a team
• Possess ability to blend business and technical knowledge to deliver high quality products
• Be able to contribute in both technical solution discussions or business strategy discussions
• Proven track record to transform product strategy into well-articulated business requirements
• Demonstrate shipping exceptional products to market with an iterative approach
• Outstanding problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to find the correct solution
• Leadership through influence and ability to empower and collaborate with development teams
• Strong proficiency with collaboration and agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Ability to handle both Executive-level or deep technical discussions
• Understand agile software development process
