Lead the AI Model Lifecycle
Own the evaluation pipeline for generative AI—measuring accuracy, safety, and user experience.
Build systems for data collection, curation, and feedback loops that fuel model improvement.
Guide prototyping, prompt design, tuning, and model refinement with production standards in mind.
Champion Responsible AI practices—governance, compliance, and explainability.
Grow & Guide the Cluj AI Team
Set and communicate team priorities aligned to FanDuel’s AI Solutions strategy.
Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers in a fast-moving, inclusive environment.
Foster a culture of crawl–walk–run experimentation—prove value quickly, scale responsibly.
Provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure growth and clarity.
Drive Technical Execution & Global Impact
Contribute code and architectural reviews, ensuring our prototypes can scale safely to production.
Develop the mid-term technical vision for model lifecycle and evaluation in Cluj.
Partner with product, governance, and design to deliver AI that is safe, explainable, and user-centric.
Collaborate across FanDuel, Betfair, and Flutter to deliver internal AI tools with global reach—unlocking productivity gains across the business.
What We’re Looking For
Significant experience in software or ML engineering, with exposure to generative AI systems.
Ability to design and maintain evaluation frameworks, feedback pipelines, or Responsible AI processes.
Strong Python skills with the ability to move from prototype to production without missing a beat.
Proven leadership experience: setting priorities, building roadmaps, mentoring, and scaling teams.
Comfort working in cross-cultural, global teams, aligning stakeholders across time zones.
A passion for building—show us potential and drive, not just a checklist of tools.
Exposure to emerging innovative technologies in business applications is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Experience recruiting and growing technical teams.
Background in regulated industries (gaming, finance, healthcare) with compliance standards.
Exposure to modern AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face) and cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks).
Thought leadership in model evaluation, observability, or retrieval-augmented systems.
Strong interest in ethical AI and explainability.
