About the role

What You Will Achieve

The Sr. Manager Train3 Operations is responsible for managing Nimenrix production through multiple layers of a cGMP manufacturing operation that emphasizes safety, right the first-time manufacturing and culture of excellence while ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations (cGMP), product licenses, corporate policies and safety practices. The Sr. Manager Train 3 Operations is expected to have an organization-wide perspective for all programs within their functional area and to set priorities accordingly, based on overall Company and departmental goals. 

In this role, you will:

Strategic Leadership

  • Set and manage objectives for multiple complex projects.

  • Influence senior management and align initiatives with divisional strategy.

  • Champion innovation and knowledge sharing across functions.

IMEX & Ecosystem Integration

  • Collaborate with Process Centric Teams to meet global cGMP manufacturing standards.

Financial & Facilities Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for labor, materials, and capital.

  • Plan for short- and long-term equipment needs and support network-wide systems.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and manage deviation investigations.

  • Oversee SOP development and quality assurance processes.

  • Manage performance, staffing, and career development.

Organizational & People Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of leaders and production staff.

  • Promote a positive, feedback-rich culture aligned with Pfizer values.

Operational Oversight

  • Guide manufacturing and technology teams in compliance, audit readiness, and equipment lifecycle.

  • Oversee production operations, ensuring adherence to cGMP and safety standards.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN and Six Sigma.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS with at least 6 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 5 years of experience or PhD/JD with at least 1 year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of experience

  • Strong background in supervision or management roles within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma tools

  • Robust people management skills

  • Proactive approach in engaging with key stakeholders

  • Experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):

  • Advanced degree (Master's, PhD, JD, MD, DVM) in a relevant field

  • Experience in talent management and development

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to drive innovation and manage change

  • Experience in budget planning and financial management

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory compliance

  • Ability to manage Pfizer direct reports effectively

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand for 1 hour at a time, sit for 2 to 3 hours at a time, walk long distances and bend to obtain items from lower shelving/cabinets.
