Job Summary:
The Facilities Project Specialist will play a crucial role in coordinating Safety programs, facility maintenance, repairs, and projects. This position involves working closely with customers, staff, and contractors to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of facilities. In addition to sustaining safety initiatives, this role includes project management responsibilities to oversee safety, facility, and maintenance improvement projects. This Facilities Project Specialist position requires project management abilities to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the facility. The individual in this role will be responsible for coordinating safety, facilities, and maintenance activities, overseeing projects, and maintaining a high standard of facility functionality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee safety, facility, and maintenance improvement projects from conception to completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure projects adhere to established budgets and timelines.
- Analyze and develop standardized procedures for both management and technical tasks related to safety, facilities maintenance, and project management.
- Implement and enforce standardized processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Play a crucial role in maintaining projects budget, resource allocation, and expenditure tracking for facility projects.
- Collaborate in deciding how budgets and staff resources are allocated to various projects.
- Collaborate with management, technicians, and subcontractors to coordinate and oversee safety and facility maintenance, updates, and repairs to ensure the facility meets functional standards.
- Maintain comprehensive logs and site facility drawings, support project documentation, and interpret technical drawings.
- Assist with vendor management, negotiating contracts and ensuring work is completed on time to a high standard of quality.

- Project Management skills, Needs Assessment, Financial valuation to meet budget plan.

- Able to clearly create reports and present information to management; influence or persuade others through oral presentations in positive and negative circumstances, listens well.
- Strong written communication skills for documentation purposes.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, labels, and site facility drawings[ROL1] .
- Competency in basic math and attention to detail when reviewing drawings and materials.
- Proficiency in reading facility site drawings[ROL2] .
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in an analytical field or related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 4 years of prior experience as project specialist or a similar position
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and manage budgets.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Computer proficiency, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- 5 years of industry-related technical field experience and project management including basic knowledge of site construction including electrical, plumbing, machine movement, and general facility improvements.[ROL3]
