Responsibilities:

The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. The Level II Registered Nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Schedule FT position available. D/E/N 12 hour shifts, holidays, weekends and on call per unit policy. Responsibilities Exciting opportunity to work with patients of all ages including a pediatric population recovering from Acute Brain Injuries. Develop your clinical skills while working with patients recovering from many causes of Brain Injury including oncological surgery, motor vehicle accidents, falls, and strokes. You will work in a newly constructed, state-of-the-art Acute Brain Injury recovery unit. Extensive orientation and continuous training that covers all phases of recovery from this diagnosis. Work with a supportive interdisciplinary team that also includes Behavior Techs and Neuropsychologists. Assist in implementing patient centered care plans that include clinical support, patient education, and family education. Take pride in the meaningful contributions you make that directly impacted the progress of the patients and their journey toward recovery Qualifications Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Level I Applicants will have less than 6-12 months of RN experience. Level II Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.
