About the Role:

Demandbase is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Compensation & Analytics to lead our global compensation program and People analytics. This role is critical in ensuring our compensation structures are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business objectives and help us become a more data-driven People Team.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will collaborate with executive leadership and the compensation committee, to develop and execute compensation strategies that support our growth and retention goals. This position requires a deep understanding of global compensation practices, with a particular focus on maintaining internal equity while navigating market-specific challenges, such as those in India.

We have a preference for candidates based in: San Francisco (ideal), Austin, or NYC.

The base compensation range for this position, not including the company bonus, is: $240,000 - $295,000

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive compensation strategies that align with Demandbase’s goals and ensure competitive positioning in the market.
  • Work closely with the compensation committee and board members to develop executive compensation packages, including long-term incentives and performance-based rewards.
  • Oversee compensation programs across all regions, with a particular emphasis on maintaining internal parity while hiring at market rates in diverse locations, including US, UK, and India.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of compensation data, market trends, and internal metrics to inform compensation decisions and policy adjustments.
  • Ensure all compensation practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. 
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the compensation committee and board of directors.
  • Partner with the People Team, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure cohesive and compliant compensation practices.
  • Develop clear communication strategies to effectively explain compensation structures and changes to employees at all levels.
  • Evaluate and implement compensation management systems and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in compensation processes.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of HR data, including compensation, employee engagement, turnover, and other key metrics, to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the analytics function for the global People Team, developing and maintaining comprehensive dashboards and reports that track HR metrics, trends, and KPIs across the organization.
