About the role
We are looking for an IT Operations Engineer to join our team. Snappi's IT is responsible for delivering, maintaining, and operating the Bank’s systems & platforms (both banking and enterprise/corporate). You will responsible to maintain, run and monitor snappi's IT ecosystem from infrastructure and application perspective.
The position reports to snappi's Head of IT.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance and availability of IT systems (incl. servers, networks, storage) and applications to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Manage production incidents and problems and coordinate their timely resolution with internal teams, vendors and service providers
- Maintain, run and monitor batch processes & job schedules of the banking solution applications
- Analyze system logs and data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues, and take necessary actions to address them
- Perform business parameterization/configuration of banking solution, based on business demand (either through banking solution graphical or programming interface, i.e. SQL/shell script)
- Manage business parameterization changes in the frame of SDLC and release management
- Define, document and maintain accurate records of IT operations procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing
- Manage changes & releases of infrastructure and software, in collaboration with the product and technical delivery teams
- Manage and monitor SLAs of business & technical services, internally developed or provided by 3rd parties
- Manage and maintain monitoring tools and systems to ensure timely detection of anomalies and performance bottlenecks
- Assess infrastructure, applications and processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to both identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Maintain IT asset management and configuration repositories
- Perform regular system maintenance operations, including patching, upgrades, and backups, following established change management procedures
- Manage IT vendors and lifecycle of IT provisioning from 3rd parties (evaluation, procurement, delivery, audit)
- Respond to and resolve information and service requests from end-users, providing timely technical support and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology & Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in similar IT/engineering domains
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with responsibility of production workloads
- Hands on IT Operations experience on Microsoft Azure workloads
- Experience in incident & problem management
- Experience in management of batch processing & job scheduling tools
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents outside of regular business hours
- Excellent interpersonal, listening & negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen eye on detail
- Problem solving attitude
