Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) professional to support the LADS SBU and PF&M SSBU for a program located in Tucson, AZ. Candidates must be able to succeed in a high stress, fast paced development environment and possess excellent time management/prioritization skills. Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work well in a matrixed IPT environment are also important. Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal and supplier management. The successful candidate will be directly accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance.
In this role, you will leverage Supply Chain, technical knowledge, and process capability expertise to improve supplier performance and support. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and the broader Supply Chain organization to drive Raytheon requirements for manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers, and improvement of supplier hardware for schedule and affordability. You will be the catalyst for program execution of Supplier Engagement Strategy activities including ensuring appropriate budget, resource, schedule, and execution.
What You Will Do:
Developing and executing Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans.
Planning and executing sourcing decisions and support the Make/Buy/Where process
Communicate and translate requirements to suppliers; Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
Driving Purchase Requisition generation & Purchase Order placement/management.
Coordinate with key stakeholders (Program Office, Production Planning, Engineering, Quality) to align material availability with program milestones via the SAP/Prism ERP system
Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the supplier’s performance.
Support proposal activities, as a member of the proposal development team, responsible for material cost and lead time
Actively participate in program/engineering reviews and change boards, including CN and ECP reviews and approvals.
Ensure suppliers are operating to and supporting MRP, the MPP, and the MPS.
Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
Mitigate supply chain risks and work collaboratively with suppliers and purchasing to resolve material shortages or delays
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Prior work experience with SAP and/or Prism ERP system

Qualifications We Prefer:
Financial Acumen: AOP, Forecasting, Estimates at Complete, Earned Value Management, CAM knowledge
Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs).
Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
Material Program Management or similar experience
