Full Title: Senior HR Manager, North America, and Business HR Partner
Role Description:
The Senior HR Manager is responsible for delivering the full span of HR services in NA, ranging from HR operations to partnering with people leaders in NA. This role ensures Medix Biochemica (MB) attracts, hires, develops, and retains qualified employees while embedding our global culture and values into local practice.
The HR Manager will act as the primary HR partner for the Business Unit QC globally, working closely with the BU leader and the BU Management team to align HR strategies with business goals.
In addition to local HR leadership, the role contributes to the development and implementation of global HR policies, processes, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Local HR Leadership
- Act as the country HR Manager for the various MB sites in US: St Louis, Weston, and Westbrook.
- Own NA-related HR topics and deliver commercially focused HR solutions while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Advise local management on both global and local HR topics, driving the adoption of company culture, values, and processes.
- Coordinate remuneration practices and provide salary benchmarking guidance to senior management.
- Champion a performance-driven culture, leading initiatives to drive employee productivity and development.
- Lead and manage employee relations, including grievance and disciplinary procedures, in a fair and compliant manner.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure HR practices meet US labor law and regulations, including matters related to benefits, contracts, and insurances.
- Takes ownership of local administrative HR tasks
- Plan and execute employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
- Partner with HQ HR to review, localize, and implement global HR policies and procedures
Strategic HR Business Partnership for QC BU
- Act as the main HR partner for the QC Business Unit, collaborating closely with VP BU leader and the QC BU Management team to align HR strategy with business objectives.
- Coach and support the BU Management team, in talent management, organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Monitor key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, performance) and implement action plans to address identified issues.
- Develop the BU Management Team
Global HR Contribution
- Participating in the development of global HR processes
- Support the consistent implementation of Medix Biochemica's global HR standards while adapting to local needs.
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices in US
• Proven experience in both strategic business partnering and hands-on HR operations.
• Proven project management and execution skills.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across levels and geographies.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, drive change, and drive organizational business performance.
• Experience in a global matrix organization.
• Strong business acumen
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
