Enoch Pratt Free Library has an opening for a Digital Equity Coordinator who will be a member of the Department of Innovation and Technology. The Coordinator will oversee the various digital inclusion initiatives across the library. The Coordinator will coordinate between departments and external partners. This includes leading and providing guidance to all levels of customers and staff, in partnership with the community, on the design, coordination, and funding of critical digital inclusion services for residents. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the Library’s digital equity equipment and digital literacy program, and participate in other activities related to digital equity and digital literacy program design and development.
Duties include oversight of part-time staff. The position reports directly to the Director of Innovation and Technology.

Summary of Duties:
Schedule, manage, and administer digital literacy assessments on-site and at other partnership sites.
Identify the digital literacy needs of all prospective customers, create, and manage a system to provide the technology and instruction to eliminate barriers and enable customers to participate in programs remotely.
Provide digital navigation services to clients at the library, including discussing needs for technical support, home internet and device access, and connecting them with programs to meet their needs and following-up to ensure adoption and success.
Work with our social work programs to establish a standardized social needs assessment.
Establish a follow-up process for ongoing engagement with clients.
Work with our public training team to create, manage, and support small group learning opportunities for customers.
Provide strategic advice and recommendations on issues regarding digital equity, including technology literacy, affordable internet programs, and delivery of community-based digital equity services.
Lead and manage digital equity grant equipment and programs, including design, outreach, applicant assistance, review and reporting. Collect and utilize data to analyze and adapt grant programs to align with community needs.
Provide accurate recordkeeping and data to other staff members to meet reporting requirements from funders and other stakeholders.
Conduct outreach and community engagement and develop resources that further digital equity and community capacity building.
Support development of awareness and understanding about the significance of digital equity across the community, library system, and integrate efforts with Baltimore City agencies.
Liaise with internal departments/branches and work teams for program development and implementation.
Conduct research in support of technology access programs and coordinate program reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Five years of experience in information technology or digital equity in an institutional setting.
Experience working with community-based groups, community outreach, education, and engagement.
Experience leading projects and including those that directly involve members of underrepresented communities and the organizations that provide services to them.
Experience working effectively with diverse communities, including vulnerable and historically underserved communities.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, Skype, and Zoom.
Experience using various mobile devices, mobile device management systems, tablets, laptops, computers, and cloud applications.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and a second language preferred.
Experience in program coordination with experience managing and advising on digital equity or a similar program.
Experience in education, training and development, literacy programs, volunteer management, workforce development, and/or community-based non-profits desired.
