About you and this role:
 

Dow is offering an exciting part‑time cooperative (co‑op) position located in Auburn, MI. The position exists to provide administrative and lab support for the Consumer Solutions Electronics TS&D organization.
 

This is a long‑term, year‑round opportunity for undergraduate students who are enrolled at a fully accredited college or university located near the Auburn Dow site. Unlike a short‑term summer internship, this role is designed to last at least one year and allows students to work part‑time while continuing their coursework.

As a co‑op at Dow, students gain hands‑on professional experience in a global organization and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and leaders across a variety of roles. This program is intended for academically strong students who can successfully balance both school and professional work responsibilities and who meet the program and position requirements outlined below.

Responsibilities:

  • Copying/scanning/faxing/answering phone/supply ordering
  • Support sampling of Dow products to internal & external customers, including maintaining a sample inventory
  • Conduct laboratory experiments/Data analysis/Reporting and presentation of the results and conclusions

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma/GED and already enrolled at an accredited college or university located close to the Midland Dow site, pursuing an undergraduate degree.
  • Successfully complete a minimum of 6 credit hours per term during both the Fall and Winter terms (~Sept-Apr).
  • Able to begin work very soon (typically within 4–6 weeks of the job offer) and work year-round at least 16 hours per week during regular business hours (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday), including at least 3 days per week (max 8 hours/day and 30 hours/week during school).
  • Commit to the role for at least 1 full calendar year (BEFORE completing classes for your stated undergraduate degree or BEFORE transferring out of the area).  Students who are available longer than one year before completing their degree program are preferred and advantaged. 
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality in commuting to work daily or at least 3 days a week; therefore, dependable transportation, dedication and time management skills are absolutely required. 
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Seeking high performing student with strong GPAs of 3.000+.
  • There is no required course of study for this position, but students pursuing engineering, supply chain or business majors may be the best fit for this position.

Additional Notes:

  • Any current Dow college co-ops wishing to transfer into this role must have been in their current role at least one full year, must have at least one full year left before graduating or transferring out of the area, and must have supervisor approval before applying to each Dow co-op job posting.
