Course: Event Management
This course explores the scope of the events industry, analyzes the functions of an event or meeting planner and demonstrates the relationship between professional service and operational success. Students receive a comprehensive introduction to the complexities of planning and organizing an event and an overview of the nature and scope of the meetings and event industry.
What You Will Do:
- Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
- Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
- Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
What You Will Bring:
- Preferred: PhD/DBA Management or PhD/DBA Hospitality Management or PhD/DBA Recreation and Tourism Management.
- Minimum: Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Hospitality Management or Masters in Recreation and Tourism Management AND
- 5 years hospitality management experience.
