Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Arnold AFB, TN (Hybrid)

Canvas is seeking a recognized Industry Expert to provide advisory and assistance services to the Air Force in support of Test Activities within the 704th TG.

Duties:

• Lead the systems engineering activities related to AEDC projects including, but not limited to the Holloman High Speed Track, Guidance and Navigation and Radar Cross-Section Testing. Includes the design, development and integration of solid rocket motors, structural engine test capability and rail analysis/structural design.
• Perform rail design analysis to ensure sled tracks are capable of supporting high-speed, high-force testing scenarios.
• Develop and analyze use cases for sled track testing, ensuring that test systems meet mission objectives and customer requirements.
• Complete technical studies on track architecture, helium alternatives, atmospheric weather and water trough braking.
• Conduct structural analysis to assess and optimize the performance and safety of test sleds and track systems.
• Provide technical leadership for AEDC projects, ensuring that engineering deliverables are on time and within specification.
• Support the development and review of system requirements, design documentation, and test plans for sled track systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including propulsion engineers, structural engineers, and test personnel, to ensure successful system integration and testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline desired.
• Must possess strong computer skills and learn to use new applications quickly.
• Effectively interface with various Base organizations to complete support assignments.

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Other Essential Job Functions: Candidate must be willing to travel up to 25%.
