SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for delivering exemplary customer service through superior logistical management, execution and customer interactions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional customer service to assigned business units while focusing on profitability, customer experience, sales service and strategic business goals.
- Provide operational and logistical support and service to internal sales team.
- Utilize independent judgement and discretion, make decisions to move cargo, prioritize shipments and approve additional costs associated with an order in a timely manner.
- Coordinate efficient communication with all stakeholders internally and externally.
- Manage reporting tools that efficiently share data related to assigned business units.
- Measure and manage all inventory positions and levels within assigned business units. Ensure customer and CMPC FP minimum and maximum stock levels are meet. Effectively communicate to all stake holders any exceptions to inventory levels.
- Support the commercial team by creating budgets for transactions, including all costs associated with orders
- Ensure invoicing and documentation of all shipments is completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and monitor shipment plans for truck, rail, and vessels.
- Evaluate transactions from a credit and risk management perspective. Gather and present related data to allow stakeholders to make informed decisions related to risk.
- Collaborate with internal finance department to monitor and evaluate credit lines.
- Track customer receivables.
- Communicate regularly as main point of contact with merchant planners and inventory team on stock levels, new set ups, etc. – answer all related questions – provide regular reports and on an as needed basis
- Manage inventory in multiple warehouse locations and monthly reconciliations. Work with the internal inventory team to resolve inventory discrepancies and assist the commercial team in the sale of aging inventory
- Responsible for continuous analysis on ways to innovate, improve processes, customer experience, and reduce costs
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates
- Responsible for creation, maintenance and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by Confidentiality and Privacy Standards, in accordance with Mass Regulations on Personal Identity Regulations and HIPAA.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred major in business administration, management, operations, accounting, or similar field.
- 2-4 years of operations or logistics experience
