About the role

As a Security Specialist III, you will be responsible for facilitating administrative security processes such as personnel security, incoming visitor coordination, badging activities, and other general security customer service activities. You'll manage classified material and document control activities, administer local physical security systems, and assist the CPSO conduct inventories of classified holdings. You will interact with program leadership ensuring security needs are met to include Standard Operating Procedures, and more. In addition, you will assist in the development and implementation of security practices to maintain compliance with security regulations, develop and implement security awareness education and training, assist with the Security Clearance process for employees, and participate in security self-assessment initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • PSQ Reviews

  • PAR Submittal

  • Self-Inspection

  • Indocs/Debriefs

  • DD-Form 254 Familiarity

  • Physical Security/UL Certs

  • CPSO/ACSSO Duties

Must Haves:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • 6+ years of experience in security, military, or administrative fields

  • Higher education in a related field may substitute for up to 2 years of relevant experience

  • Strong verbal and electronic communication skills

  • Thorough understanding of security regulations and best practices

  • In-depth knowledge of 32 CFR 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM)

  • Must have an ACTIVE Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with access control/visit control/badge management systems and software

  • Military or Defense Contractor experience

  • Knowledge of DoDM 5205.07 Vols. 1-4

  • Personnel Security Experience, familiarity with DoDM 5105.21 and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5200.01

  • Physical Security experience, familiarity with ICD-705 Tech Specs.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
