Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst working in a successful team environment supporting budget/forecasting activities, long-range planning and ad hoc financial analysis. A key responsibility of this Sr. Financial Analyst is supporting our Retail Solutions organization on consolidation, reporting, and analytics for the entire Retail P&L. The candidate will also assist in revenue and expense analytics, including product profitability assessments, along with key reporting requirements across all of Retail Solutions. The role will be have a large focus on process improvement and planning optimization across our Retail finance. Candidates must also have a solid understanding of financial management concepts, complex modeling, accounting procedures, variance analysis, and the ability to analyze large data sets. The candidate is also expected to quickly gain an understanding of our wide portfolio of businesses with application to these responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consolidation and interpretation of results, variance analysis, and key business drivers to identify trends and make recommendations based on risks and opportunities, product profitability, operational efficiencies, and overall financial and strategic alignment with company goals and objectives.
Assist with the analysis of month end results, forecasts, and budgets, to better inform business decisions.
Help lead process improvement projects across Retail finance, including improving flow and consolidation of data.
Coordinate the annual LRP budgeting, budget maintenance, and strategic planning process.
Partner with Retail Solutions finance leads, Cox Automotive corporate, Financial Systems team, and matrix partners to ensure accurate, timely reporting, and continuous process improvement.
Lead efforts to improve the structure of our analytical tools, data, and processes to enhance the company’s analytic capabilities and understanding of business performance.
Assist with developing recommendations through analysis, providing financial and operational insights necessary to help manage the company’s financials.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting with 4+ years of work experience in a financial environment. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience. A non-degreed candidate with have 8+ years of experience.
Strong analytical ability with track record of delivered results
Solid analytical and research capabilities required
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to prepare executive level presentations and insights
Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating one’s own work
Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities or projects
Advanced MS Excel skills required, including formulas, financial functions, pivot tables, design, and formatting for executive presentations
Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Reports, Tableau and Essbase is a strong plus.
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, practices and procedures
Occasional travel may be required.
