Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Director located in Midland, MI.


The Treasury Director provides leadership to People Leaders and Individual Contributors and is accountable for the performance and results of a large team or multiple related teams to ensure Dow’s financial flexibility. The Treasury Director applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance to support activities related to corporate finance, financial operations, financial risk management, portfolio investments, customer financial services, financial planning, and/or insurance and corporate risk management.

About you
In this role, you will lead people leaders and professionals and will be required to understand key business drivers and factors to maximize department performance. You should be able to inspire and persuade people leaders to act and/or negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

It is your responsibility to be able to identify and resolve complex operational and organizational problems and leverage the appropriate resources within or outside your discipline or functional area. You will need to be able to lead a large team or multiple related teams and develop plans of execution to ensure alignment with long-term operational strategy. Your performance impacts your discipline's results by supporting and funding projects, products, services, and/or technology and is guided by business plans for your function.
 

In this role, you will apply in-depth knowledge of the finance and treasury disciplines and will be responsible for all compliance aspects of the Treasury function including coordination with both internal and external regulatory bodies. You will serve as a member of the global Treasury Leadership Team and you will lead the Treasury Compliance team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Report to the Dow Treasurer and be a member of the global Treasury Leadership Team
  • Lead the Treasury Compliance team of 2 people; provide oversight of team activities and team development
  • Monitor compliance with and improve the control framework, including ICFR/SOX key controls
  • Design and implement internal control procedures
  • Facilitate quarterly and annual SOX assessments
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits and facilitate issue resolution
  • Monitor the global financial regulatory reform landscape and ensure compliance with requirements including regulatory filings
  • Provide guidance and consulting, collaborating with Office of the Corporate Secretary, on Treasury related sections of the Dow Inc. Authorization Policy and Treasury Delegation of Authority
  • Provide oversite on financial counterparty credit process including limit setting, exposure monitoring and risk reporting and review
  • Serve as Secretary of the Investment Committee for U.S. pension plans
  • Ensure compliance with the Charter and Investment Policy Statement of the Investment Committee
  • Lead the quarterly Treasury review of Dow's SEC10Q/K filing for all arears impacted by Treasury to ensure accuracy and consistency

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • A minimum of 6-years of experience in finance or a related field
  • For U.S. applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
