To make this happen, we’re looking for ambitious, entrepreneurial, and curious people who are eager to solve complex challenges and make a real impact.</p> <p>Artefact Benelux in Utrecht is looking for an ambitious Data & AI Engineer to strengthen our Tech team.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>Depending on your background and the project, you'll focus on one or both tracks:</p> <p><strong>Data Platform</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines using dbt, Spark, or Airflow, with a focus on performance, observability, and data quality.</li> <li>Architect end-to-end data platforms with robust data models to support analytical and operational use cases.</li> </ul> <p><strong>AI & LLM Applications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and deploy LLM-based solutions </li> <li>RAG systems, Knowledge Graphs, or agentic workflows — using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.</li> <li>Evaluate and integrate new AI tools and models to improve reliability and performance at scale.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Across both tracks</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work directly with clients to translate business needs into production-ready technical solutions.</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable Python and SQL, and communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></p> <p>We’re seeking someone who has:</p> <ul> <li>Fluency in English (mandatory); Dutch or French is a plus.</li> <li>Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>2 to 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent), in Data Engineer, AI Engineer or similar role</li> <li>Strong Python and SQL skills, with a focus on production-quality code.</li> <li>Familiarity with ETL/ELT principles or LLM orchestration frameworks, depending on your track</li> <li>Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azur
