Job Summary:
Responsible for coordination of production requirements and ensuring quality standards are met for the overhaul and repair or test of the gas turbine engines or modules and associated new technologies. Communicate requirements and information to team members, supervisor and management. Interface and coordinate with various other functions (quality, engineering, customer, QAR) to resolve issues and ensure timely product delivery. Coordinate workload and manpower requirements with other Working Leaders. Assign day-to-day tasks to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor consumption and supply of consumable materials and tooling used in production operations and initiate procurement actions as needed to support production without interruption
- Schedule weekend work teams if overtime is needed to meet production requirements
- Conduct in process inspections.
- Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment and/or tooling (i.e. calibration, load test or preventative maintenance)
- Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits or certifications as required
- Perform additional tasks in support of business objectives and/or to develop the individuals' skills
- Handle process related waste in accordance with approved documented work instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Work overtime when required
- Ability to lift heavy objects as required
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use computer, Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, and Word)
- Must have a secret clearance, or the ability to acquire such a clearance
- Currently qualified as a Shop Inspector.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in the tear-down, build-up or inspection of jet engines.
- Strong communication and leadership skills. Be self-motivated and a self- starter.
- Good interpersonal skills in dealing with others in diverse work environment.
- This position requires an individual who is detail oriented. Accuracy in work performed is a must.
- Must be willing to work second shift or overtime if required. Some Travel is expected.
- 2-5 years F-135 engine experience
