Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its Business Operations Initiatives department. The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a broad range of activities to promote our products and services, with an emphasis on web-based content and supporting collateral. The position requires a motivated individual with strong project management skills and the ability to effectively interface with our design, content, production, development and operations teams. The Project Coordinator role also provides the opportunity to manage non-web-based marketing and editorial projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment, is able to take initiative and has an enthusiasm for new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating the creation of project plans and proactively managing their execution
- Creating and maintaining tracking tickets with appropriate deadlines, priorities, subtasks, information and watchers
- Creating and maintaining roadmaps, requirement lists, project pages, documentation and dashboards
- Monitoring the status, risks and resources for the entire lifecycle of projects
- Identifying, conveying and tracking project milestones
- Preparing agendas for meetings and recording detailed notes, including decisions made, next steps and action items
- Identifying assets and content to standardize, consolidate or improve
- Coordinating approved projects
- Documenting and improving internal processes
Qualifications
- Project management or coordination experience
- Strong communication, organizational, analytic and interpersonal skills
- High degree of initiative and a proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously by meeting goals/deadlines with accuracy and reliability
- Ability to work independently and interact with executives, managers and cross-functional teams
- Experience with Jira or other project management software is desired
- Web content management experience, SEO knowledge and/or editorial experience is a plus
- Knowledge of modern HTML and best coding practices is a plus
- Previous exposure to Wolfram|Alpha, Mathematica, Wolfram Language or other technical software is a plus
