Associate Engineer

What you will be doing

• Contributing to the development of robust foundations for our payments ecosystem

• Assisting in the creation of innovative, scalable, and high-quality software in PHP.

• Collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, and data analysts to develop features at scale.

• Supporting the design, development, and maintenance of APIs, services, and systems across the engineering teams.

• Learning to evaluate and solve complex technical challenges under the guidance of experienced engineers.

• Growing your skills and knowledge rapidly while contributing to impactful projects.

What you'll bring

• A foundational knowledge of PHP is essential; experience with other languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python) is a plus.

• Basic understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

• Enthusiasm for building scalable systems and an interest in learning about software architecture and design patterns.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to tackle new challenges.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to haves

• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform or similar.

• An understanding of distributed systems or event-streaming concepts.

• Exposure to or interest in Payments or FinTech sectors.

• Experience in service migrations (e.g., from monoliths to microservices) or an eagerness to learn about architectural trade-offs
