Personal Trainer

The YMCA of Orange County has an immediate need for a Personal Trainer.  At the Fullerton Family YMCA we're passionate about empowering our clients to live healthier, stronger lives. We're looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and certified Personal Trainer to help our members crush their goals and stay motivated every step of the way.

Responsibilities: 

• Design personalized fitness programs based on clients' goals and abilities
• Lead one-on-one training sessions and small group workouts
• Provide guidance on form, technique, and injury prevention 
• Track client progress and adjust programs as needed 
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships 
• Stay current on fitness trends and certifications 
• Other duties as assigned

Hiring Criteria
The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Experience & Certifications: 

• Current Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA or similar) or Bachelors in Kinesiology 
• Previous personal training experience preferred
• Strong communication and motivational skills
• Passion for fitness and helping others succeed

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to positively motivate members/children/participants in fitness activities
• Strong customer and results orientation
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
