Unarmed Retail Security Officer Washington, DC

AX9 Security, Inc. is seeking for a friendly and reliable Unarmed Retail Security Officers for a retail environment in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will provide a visible presence to ensure the safety of customers, staff, and company assets while maintaining a positive and approachable demeanor. Retail experience and a customer-focused attitude are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional, approachable, and courteous presence throughout the retail location.

• Monitor customer and staff activity to prevent theft, misconduct, and safety incidents.

• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns.

• Write detailed and accurate incident and activity reports as required.

• Follow all company policies, site-specific procedures, and local security regulations.

• Collaborate with store management and staff to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

• Assist with crowd management and loss prevention initiatives during busy periods.

• A positive attitude, customer-focused mindset, and willingness to assist staff and patrons are essential.

• ​​​​​​Previous retail experience is a plus, especially in customer service or security roles.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

• Strong observational skills and the ability to remain alert and attentive.

• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible retail hours, including weekdays, weekends, and evenings.

• Must possess a valid Guard Card (if required by local regulations).

• Ability to write clear, accurate reports and document incidents effectively.

• Prior security experience is preferred but not required.
