The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member specializing in research and clinical care of patients with genitourinary (GU) malignancies. The position will be dual appointed with a primary faculty appointment in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and a secondary appointment in the UW Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of Hematology and Oncology. The position will be at the professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT), commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing clinical and laboratory research programs related to the biology and treatment of GU malignancies. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity and resources to continue the development of their own clinical research program. The position will also involve participation in the clinical and instructional activities of the Clinical Research Division and the Division of Hematology and Oncology. Fred Hutch and UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
The successful candidate will be appointed in the Clinician Scholar track and will spend time allocated as such: 40% FTE for Academic Director of Clinical Research (ADCR) for Cancer Consortium, 30% FTE for Section Head, Solid Tumor, Clinical Research Division, 15% FTE for clinical care, and 15% FTE for sponsored research.
University of Washington professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that both align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch.

This position is paid directly by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and receives no UW compensation. Please refer to Fred Hutch for information about compensation for this position.

Qualifications
Applicants must have:
· MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
· Board certification (or foreign equivalent) in medical oncology or hematology/oncology
· Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
The ideal candidate will have a record of and primary interest in genitourinary oncology research, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, grants and/or clinical trial experience.
