• With this position, you would receive a company vehicle.

Sales Territory Coverage: Durand, WI.

• The sales territory coverage is approximately within a 45-minute drive from main hub of the assigned sales territory.
• Daily travel is required to cover the sales territory adequately. Also, this position may need to travel for a quarterly sales meeting and/or any other ALCIVIA related meetings. There will be no overnight travel unless to attend required meetings and/or events.
• Ideally, we want the Field Sales Agronomist to be living within the assigned sales territory.

Pay Type: Salary plus Commission, bi-weekly.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Dairy Technical Specialist Essential Responsibilities:

The Dairy Technical Specialist provides solutions to individual dairy producers in a manner that aligns with the farm’s goals and interests to maximize productivity, profitability, and overall performance. The position will utilize information gathered on farm along with ALCIVIA’s nutrient profiles to create and balance diets for the producers. This position will work closely with teammates from Operations, Procurement, Formulation, Sales, and Customer Service to create a great customer experience for each member/customer. 

• Prospect, pursue, and develop opportunities with new dairy farms
• Utilize NDS to balance rations and provide technical service
• Become a key part of the producer’s farm management and decision-making team
• Able to understand financial information and provide insights during team meetings directed towards maximizing productivity and profitability for both the producer and ALCIVIA
• Evaluate and pursue additional business opportunities with existing members
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell for other areas of the business
• Support cross-divisional collaboration whenever possible
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Dairy Technical Specialist Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Animal Science, or related field
• Master’s degree in Dairy Science, Animal Science, or related field is preferred
• Five (5) years dairy nutrition experience
• Experience with nutrition management software
• Clean driving record required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Sales and service focused mindset
• Motivated to always exceed customer expectations
• Work well independently and leading a team
• Strong enthusiasm for building internal and external relationships
