- Direct the credit union’s Advocacy & Impact strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational vision, values, and commitments.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on CSR, Belonging & Engagement, and Government Advocacy best practices.
- Lead development and execution of CSR programs that are inclusive, equitable, and reflective of the communities First Tech serves.
- Partner with business units and external stakeholders to integrate CSR principles into decision making, operations, and member impact strategies.
- Ensure CSR initiatives are measurable, transparent, and aligned with brand and organizational reputation goals.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to financial inclusion, consumer protection, credit union priorities, and emerging policy trends.
- Support advocacy efforts in partnership with industry associations and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee participation in industry roundtables, committees, coalitions, and speaking engagements in partnership with Corporate Impact leadership.
- Lead initiatives that foster an inclusive, connected workplace that amplify employee voice, strengthen engagement where employees feel valued, heard and supported.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to enhance cultural competence and embed belonging into employee programs, policies, and practices.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, community, and other partners to advance financial health and long-term economic stability for members.
- Identify emerging needs related to member well‑being, financial access, or economic barriers and recommend solutions to improve outcomes.
- Define and manage enterprise-wide impact metrics across social, environmental, advocacy, and belonging priorities.
- Track outcomes, evaluate performance, and analyze results to inform strategic adjustments.
- Produce clear, transparent reporting for members, employees, executives, the Board, and external stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high performing Advocacy & Impact team through ongoing feedback, mentorship, and professional development.
- Required Experience: 8+ years of experience demonstrating success designing and executing corporate impact strategies including CSR, advocacy, and belonging & engagement.
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience as a People Leader.
- Proven ability to build trust, credibility, and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of credit union advocacy, PAC fundraising, and external partnerships.
- Strong strategic thinking, judgment, and ability to navigate fast changing priorities.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and influence skills.
- Strong program and project management capabilities.
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred.
