Responsibilities for the Baler – Machine Operator job include:

• Run baler machine to compress and bind cardboard.
• Maintain the work area, keep equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Break down cardboard for recycling.
• Open chamber doors and remove bales. Glasses, sleeves, gloves, and safety vest required.
• Set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment per the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment and troubleshooting to make sure the machine is working properly.
• Moving bales from back to the staging area.

Requirements

Qualifications for the Baler – Machine Operator Job:

• Required to stand for long periods of time.
• May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers.
• Must be able to frequently lift 50 lbs.
• Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
• Must have ability to read and write instructions.
