Summary:

The Treasury Manager leads Tri Star Energy’s treasury function, ensuring adequate liquidity, minimizing financial risk, and providing critical insights for strategic financial decisions. You’ll manage relationships with banking partners, optimize cash flow, and oversee daily operations while also contributing to long-term planning and analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

Cash & Liquidity Management

• Monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity
• Optimize excess cash through investment or debt strategies
• Forecast cash flow and develop liquidity plans

Banking & Relationship Management

• Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions
• Negotiate banking terms and services
• Open, manage, and close bank accounts
• Review and analyze monthly bank fees

Debt Management

• Oversee short- and long-term borrowing
• Ensure debt covenant compliance

Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate financial risks (interest rate, liquidity, etc.)
• Utilize hedging tools like swaps, forwards, and options when appropriate

Treasury Operations & Controls

• Manage treasury functions including payments, transfers, and reconciliations
• Implement and maintain treasury systems and tools
• Develop and enforce internal controls and policies

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare treasury reports for leadership and auditors
• Support internal and external audits
• Ensure regulatory and policy compliance

Strategic Planning & Analysis

• Provide financial insights to support planning and capital structure decisions
• Advise on major investments, mergers, and acquisitions from a treasury perspective

Leadership & Team Support

• Supervise the Treasury team, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Serve as backup for daily treasury functions when needed
• Maintain confidentiality and respond effectively to change

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in treasury management or related accounting work
• OR any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Familiarity with online Treasury software products
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and banking processes
• Strong communication, planning, and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in C-Store, retail, or hospitality environments
• Experience leading or managing a finance or treasury team
• Comfort with ten-key, typing, and reconciliation work
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail
