Take ownership

As our Director of Banking Operations, you will be the go-to operations expert to ensure a smooth launch and delivery of everything bunq has to offer. You will be the third hire in a multicultural and diverse team, jumping onboard the leading EU neobank on our way across the Atlantic. To do this, you will take ownership of:

• Planning, establishing, and managing our banking operations in the US. You will build your team, your processes, and direct bunq's launch in the US after obtaining our banking license.

• Hands-on problem-solving in day-to-day operations. We plan on being the first EU neobank to make a home in the US, so we need to get things done. Strategy is as important as actionables, and you will own both.

• Managing world class operations, security, and trust for bunq US. You will be the extension of our Europe capabilities but also establish the requirements, processes and strategies that allow us to land, grow and succeed long term in the US.

• Designing and implementing connected systems to our headquarters in Amsterdam. You will ensure both a healthy communication line and reasonable sister processes in line with existing ones @ bunq. We'll welcome you in our Amsterdam office for your onboarding to give you all the tools needed to succeed.

Requirements

• You have launched & managed financial products & services in the US.

• You understand day-to-day actionables on an intrinsic level: you are an expert at turning actionables into strategy.

• You live at the intersection of tech & people: you understand local (US) users' problems, worries, and how to fix them. 

• You've worked with startups before, and understand how to make a small team have a big impact.

• You can prioritize and problem-solve quickly and on the go - you're not scared of getting your hands dirty.
