Job Summary:
Working under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, the Van Driver is responsible for driving and maintaining CAHC vehicles. The Van Driver will provide the transportation of patients to and from Care Alliance’s facilities and other appointments as designated.
Requirements
Task Responsibilities:
*Include but are not limited to:
· Safely operate passenger vehicles and mobile clinic vehicles in various weather conditions
· Transport patients and/or clinical products on time.
· Follow daily schedules and adjust when required and turn in daily trip logs.
· Complete daily vehicle inspections (e.g. gas, oil, tires, lights, brakes, interior and exterior etc.)
· Immediately report any operational issues regarding the van to the Transportation Supervisor
· Complete assignments and trips independently with minimum supervision
· Follow all traffic and regulatory procedures.
· Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle.
· Work with a wide range of diverse individuals
Minimum Education and Experience:
Required:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 6 months of related driving experience or training
· Must hold a valid Driver’s License with less than 5 points
· A Class A or Class B CDL License
· Experience transporting patients, wheelchair lift experience preferred.
· Good driving skills
· Must be able to drive and maneuver a large vehicle
· Ability to perform a full range of transportation assignments
· Excellent communication skills,
· Ability to use email and electronic timekeeping equipment

· Manual dexterity required to handle tools, objects, and van controls
· May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift or move equipment
· Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
· May be exposed to hazardous conditions
