Junior Front End Developer

This role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to key stakeholder specifications. They will create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly designs and clear navigation. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze front and back end web infrastructure, functionality, and performance requirements to support an enterprise quality website. 
• Collaborate with the marketing team to implement web traffic improvements and product pages with focus on behavior analytics.
• Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs.
• Conduct concept and usability testing, gather actionable data, and implement results of testing. 
• Code, test, and debug both new and existing code to ensure websites behave as intended.
• Update, repair, and modify existing web applications and websites.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Software/Web Development Certificate or Bachelors in Computer Science or a similar field.
• 1+ years of experience of web design, UI/UX, or front end development delivering enterprise-quality websites.
• Basic knowledge and experience with open source web technologies including React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Basic knowledge and experience of image authoring and industry-standard design tools such as Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Basic knowledge and experience working through cross-browser and mobile platform compatibility issues and workarounds.
• Basic knowledge and experience in AWS, Gatsby, and Marketo.
• Basic knowledge and CMS experience in WordPress or similar software such as Contentful.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Knowledge and experience with Netlify, GSAP (or other animation libraries), styled-components, Git, and web API development.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and writing skills. 
• Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and performance best-practices when using front end technologies.
