Meet Our Team

Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) promotes shift-left approach and provides standardized process and tools to enhance quality of applications for various WBD brands. We work closely with our brand partners and act as a center of expertise, best practice, and continuous improvement in the field of quality engineering. Quality is owned by the entire team, and TCoE is the frontline owners of quality processes, including the process of development, testing, and delivery.

As a Manager in TCoE, you will be responsible for leading and managing a distributed team of SDET and QA Engineers for Sports digital products, such as Bleacher Report, March Madness Live, and NCAA.com. You’ll play a crucial role in building and maintaining positive relationship with Sports brand partners and providing technical leadership in quality engineering and automation strategies to deliver high quality products and services. This position requires strong technical background with QA, test automation, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SDET and QA Engineers. Facilitates goal achievement by effective selection and development of team members and works towards enhancing team productivity.
  • Develop a comprehensive test strategy and automation plan aligned with organizational goals and quality expectation.
  • Own team’s output and quality. Creates clarity for the team in terms of deliverables and execution expectations.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to building best practices and continuous improvement initiative.
  • Effectively manages positive relationship with the brand partners by ensuring a seamless integration of quality process into overall product development cycle.
  • Manage resource allocation, including assigning the right team members to initiative to meet partner’s needs
  • Assess potential risks to product quality and work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute risk mitigation plans.
  • Proactively identify and address quality issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Skill and Experience

  • 10+ years of Quality Engineering and Automation experience
  • 5+ years in management or leadership role
  • Hands-on technical leadership in quality engineering practices, test automation, and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Demonstrated success in working with a team to deliver high quality software in an iterative and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop staff by supervising all aspects (including coaching, providing direction, staffing, delivering reviews, setting aligned objectives, etc.) of direct reports' overall performance.
  • In-depth knowledge in QA methodologies, various automation framework, and best practices.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance on test design, automation development, and code reviews.
  • Excellence verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced with working closely with stakeholders and technical leaders.
  • Strong understanding of digital product development and for web, mobile, OTT, backend infrastructure, and CMS.
  • Experience in the media/entertainment space is a strong
