Location: Tulsa, OK (Remote – Home Office with Local Travel)

To support our growth, we are currently seeking an Energy Account Manager to join our commercial/industrial energy efficiency implementation team located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The selected candidate will provide account management, trade ally management and field/technical services for a utility energy efficiency program within the commercial/industrial sector. The position will require frequent travel to meet with trade allies throughout the utility’s service territory in Oklahoma. The position will be responsible for identifying and managing Custom track projects though industry and direct customer outreach, growing and maintaining a trade ally network to deliver program services, meeting assigned metrics and KPIs, managing expenses within established budgets, reporting and recordkeeping, and performing Quality Assurance activities such as field inspections and customer surveys, as appropriate. Candidate should have knowledge, experience, and understanding of energy efficiency and the Oklahoma market and be able to communicate competently and effectively with large industrial and commercial customers regarding technically complex construction and retrofit projects. The selected candidate will demonstrate an understanding of mechanical systems, building operations and industrial processes and be able to identify and communicate opportunities to increase energy efficiency a customer sites through equipment retrofits and process changes. A working knowledge of electrical, lighting, HVAC, pumps/motors/VFDs, compressed air systems, etc. is required.

What you will be doing:

  • Must have a reliable vehicle for field work. Requirements are from 60% of the time (reimbursement for mileage provided).
  • Work in support of various utility sponsored programs that encourage energy efficiency in the commercial/industrial market  
  • Conducting market and customer outreach 
  • Trade ally management  
  • Assisting QAQC efforts 
  • Identifying energy efficiency opportunities in commercial facilities and industrial processes 
  • Performing desktop review of energy efficiency applications 
  • Data entry of applications 
  • Building and maintaining relationships with trade allies and industry associations  
  • Promoting program offerings 
  • Providing technical services, and other support 
  • Analyzing savings from efficiency improvements 
  • Maintaining strong ongoing communications with participants in order to assess their needs and to receive feedback on their experience with the program 
  • Working with the analytics team to develop new program measures  
  • Develop a data driven outreach strategy to recruit and retain new and existing customers to participate in energy efficiency programs 
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify potential energy efficiency upgrades for customers 
  • Cultivate and develop new business through long-term relationships by ensuring high customer satisfaction with the program 


What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy or a related field and 2+ years of experience and knowledge of commercial/industrial energy efficiency, or related experience. 

OR

  • 6+ years of experience and knowledge of commercial/industrial energy efficiency, or related experience. 
  • Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check 


What we would like you to have:

  • Working knowledge of electrical, lighting, HVAC, pumps/motors/VFDs, compressed air systems, and other industrial processes 
  • Certified Energy Manager designation preferred 
  • Demonstrated capabilities in building and maintaining relationships with key market actors 
  • Experience working in or managing a trade ally network 
  • Superior proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)   
  • Excellent math skills 
  • Bilingual a plus

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
