Senior Mechanical Engineer - Fornebu

We are now looking for a skilled and ambitious Senior Mechanical Engineer to help us develop our pioneering portfolio of video devices further.<br/>Based at our global headquarters in Oslo, you will join Neat’s main R&amp;D hub of over 70 experienced engineers and designers. Do you want to join us building high quality hardware enabling teams to collaborate even when they are geographically dispersed?</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br/> • Lead the mechanical development together with the engineers from our Asian partners from early concept stages until product launch<br/> • Contribute with early stage concept design and iterative development together with adjacent disciplines like hardware, acoustics and industrial design.<br/> • Solving diverse and hard problems that open the door for real innovation.<br/> • Collaborating with sub suppliers and partners in Asia to ensure smooth and successful product launches.<strong><br/></strong></p><p><strong>Tools and skills: </strong><br/> • SolidWorks CAD software. Level: Advanced<br/> • Experience in using simulation tools such as FEA / CDF etc<br/> • Able to quickly visualize and express ideas and concepts<br/> • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with experience managing supplier relationships.<br/> • Know your way around a workshop <br/> • Experience in thermal design is a plus<br/> • Expertise in materials and mass production processes, with experience developing high-quality consumer products/electronics.</p><p><strong>You: </strong><br/> • Are a team player with a can do attitude.<br/> • Have hands on problem solving experience.<br/> • Care about making great products.<br/> • Energized by fast-paced environments.<br/> • Experience in high volume production and assembly processes of complex products.<br/> • At your best when given the freedom to define your own path.<br/> • Traveling is required.</p><p><strong>Your Experience: </strong><br/> • MSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent, or related experience.<br/> • 8 year + on the job experience from relevant industries.<br/> • Working with JDM partners in the far east.</p>
