The Lourie Center seeks to hire a Bilingual Home Visitor who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
The Lourie Center Head Start (LCHS) program is a federally funded, community-based program for low-income families as well as pregnant women with children from birth to five years old. The program serves children with disabilities, children in foster care and families that are homeless.
As the Bilingual Home Visitor, you will:
• Assist with selecting, developing and preparing appropriate instructional material for the parents
• Conduct parent interviews and family needs assessments
• Conduct developmental screening and assessments
• Provide program parents with guidance on home safety, nutrition, effective discipline, constructive play activities, and other related topics
• Assist with coordinating doctor, dental visit and other community needs identified by the families, including transporting
• Maintain individual records on children including screenings, assessments, referrals, progress reports, documentation of home visitation activities, etc.
Qualifications Include:
• High school diploma
• Minimum of Child Development Associate (CDA) required
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood, social work or related discipline preferred
• 1+ years' experience working with young children and families in the home preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Driver’s license with reliable transportation required
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay Range:
$18.95 - $26.42In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
