We seek an experienced Principal Enterprise & Cloud Solutions Architect for Business Growth will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise and cloud strategies, specifically focusing on driving business transformation, modernization, and growth. Primarily leveraging Microsoft technologies—including Azure Cloud, Microsoft 365, and automation solutions. This role ensures seamless data migration, alignment of data governance policies, and optimization of data-related processes between merging entities. This position is pivotal in bridging technical and business objectives and fostering scalable, secure, cost-effective solutions aligning with the organization’s long-term growth and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

M&A-Driven Cloud Strategy & Architecture:

• Lead the development of cloud strategies tailored to support business expansion through acquisitions.
• Design scalable, secure, and flexible Azure cloud architectures to integrate and optimize operations across newly acquired entities.
• Lead the Microsoft 365 data integration strategy for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Utilize tools like Sharegate and or Bit titan to migrate data, content, and workflows across Microsoft 365 and other cloud platforms, ensuring integrity and minimizing downtime.
• Assess the data architecture, governance, and quality of target companies to determine integration impact and best practices.
• Develop and execute comprehensive data migration plans, including data mapping, cleansing, and validation processes.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compatibility of data platforms, tools, and infrastructure.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify critical data elements, key performance metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data consistency, accuracy, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor data integration progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure seamless transitions.
• Support post-merger harmonization efforts, identifying opportunities to optimize data workflows and business intelligence capabilities.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants engaged in the data migration process.
• Develop documentation, training, and support materials for data integration best practices and governance policies.
• Spearheaded cloud-to-cloud migration initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions from legacy systems or acquired cloud platforms into Azure Cloud.

Automation Leadership & Process Optimization:

• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline cloud operations, IT processes, and business workflows.
• Leverage tools like Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Terraform, and Ansible to automate routine tasks, driving efficiencies across the enterprise.
• Define and enforce best practices for continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, embedding a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Modernization & Compliance for Growth:

• Lead the modernization of legacy systems post-acquisition, leveraging Azure PaaS services such as Azure App Services and Azure Functions to accelerate business agility.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST 800-171) by designing secure, compliant cloud environments.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement robust identity management and data protection policies, aligning with enterprise security objectives.
• Assess existing systems, processes, and compliance frameworks to identify areas for improvement.
