Sr. Product Designer

SchooLinks is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead our design team. You’ll work with, lead and mentor amazing designers, while individually contributing to deliver designs that delight our users.
You’ll build low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes, create engineering-ready high-fidelity designs and interact with customers to conduct research and user acceptance testing. Your work will encompass our entire platform, allowing you to design for a wide range of features serving students, school staff, parents, industry partners, and more.
In this role, you’ll report to the Director of Product and work closely with our CTO and Product Managers. You’ll lead a team of designers and be responsible for design reviews and department performance.
Your Responsibilities will include...
- Deliver designs and solutions that delight our users and drive engagement
- Work with Product Managers and leadership to help shape strategy and vision, define requirements, and create user-centered solutions
- Own and manage our design system
- Contribute to user research and user testing to evaluate and refine designs
- Manage design sprints including planning workload, estimating effort, and ensuring timely delivery
- Perform design reviews and provide feedback to other designers
- Manage the design team, including evaluating work, coaching, and performance reviews
Requirements
- 3-5 years as a Product Designer or similar role, including 2+ years at a senior level
- Experience designing for an enterprise SaaS platform
- Demonstrated experience solving for complex workflows and usage scenarios
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Figma or similar design tools
- Knowledge of design systems and frameworks, such as React
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and concurrent projects
- Strong understanding of frameworks and common components and a demonstrated ability to design solutions that can be used for multiple user journeys
