We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr HR Manager to join our team and lead HR initiatives at one of our largest engineering and manufacturing sites in Bloomington, MN. The ideal candidate will be playing a key role as a leader who can drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent management strategies to support the achievement of business objectives.

 

The Sr HR Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and partnership with client groups, leading through influence, and developing HR strategies that move the business forward. Additionally, this position will lead a team of HR professionals to deliver effective talent programs, policies and practices. Finally, the role will work collaboratively with the HR centers of excellence (COEs), and HR country and regional leads to drive business results and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

About the role - you will:

 

  • Work closely with the Director, HRBP to build and implement people strategies in line with the organizational objectives
  • Develop organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues, contributing information, analysis, and recommendation to the organization’s strategic thinking and direction
  • Drive organizational effectiveness by partnering with site and regional leaders to assess and address talent needs, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Deploy and drive change management and transformation efforts
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace
  • Collaborate with Employee Relations and Legal to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Enhance the department and the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments; and bring innovative ideas to light
  • Translate and implement defined local site HR strategies into internationally/regionally/locally applicable action plans and ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Drive growth, efficiency, simplification, and program management efforts
  • Manage and develop a team of HR professionals located at the site
  • Coach individual business leaders to become world-class leaders and increase their performance
  • Ensure that a strong leadership and coaching culture is developed across the organization
