Now.  </p><p></p><p><b>Be you, join us</b>. </p><p></p><p><b>Role Overview:</b></p><p>We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer with a sharp focus on online applications under CICS, automation, and optimization of enterprise Java applications running on IBM z/OS mainframe systems. In this role, you will closely work with developers, ensuring that both functional correctness and non-functional performance metrics are continuously met and exceeded.</p><p>Your expertise in automating test environments, analyzing JVM-level and system-level performance, and driving test efficiency in high-throughput mainframe ecosystems will be critical to our mission of delivering scalable, optimized, and resilient enterprise systems.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Design and implement automated test frameworks for integration and system-level testing of Java and of Cobol online applications under CICS, focusing on speed, scalability, and efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Partner with development to establish early performance baselines, define SLA/SLO thresholds, and proactively identify performance regressions.</p></li><li><p>Automate the provisioning and configuration of performance test environments in z/OS, including Java runtimes, USS scripts, DB2 data, and WLM policies.</p></li><li><p>Execute and analyze load, stress, and endurance tests using native and third-party tools; interpret JVM GC logs, heap dumps, CPU usage, and z/OS SMF/RMF metrics.</p></li><li><p>Build validation harnesses for Java services utilizing JNI, JDBC, SQLJ, and DB2 for z/OS – optimized for <span><span>performance-sensitive</span></span> test scenarios.</p></li><li><p>Use tools like OMEGAMON, MainView, RMF Monitor, and custom scripts to track system resource consumption, memory contention, and processor utilization (including zIIP/zAAP offload efficiency).</p></li><li><p>Integrate validations into CI/CD pipelines and gate releases based on strict performance metrics and KPIs.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.</p></li><li><p>5+ years in software QA, with at least 3 years focused on performance testing in IBM z/OS environments.</p></li><li><p>Proficient in Java application testing, especially Java applications deployed on USS (UNIX System Services) under z/OS.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of JVM tuning, including GC strategies, heap configuration, threading behavior, and WLM class optimization on z/OS.</p></li><li><p>Expertise in test automation using scripting languages (e.g., Rexx, Shell, Python) and job control (JCL) on mainframe systems.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience with performance diagnostics tools like IBM OMEGAMON, RMF, SMF, SDSF, and JVM dump analysis tools.</p></li><li><p>Experience validating Java-native and JNI-integrated modules, as well as DB2 for z/OS workloads via SQLJ/JDBC.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What’s in it for you?</b> </p><ul><li><p>Earn <b>competitive total compensation</b> and receive comprehensive country-specific medical and other benefits.</p></li><li><p>Enjoy time and location flexibility with our <b>Hybrid Working Model, </b>which allows a remote workshare of up to 60%.  Work anywhere in your country or abroad for up to 10 days per year.</p></li><li><p>Set yourself up for success in your new role by upgrading your home office space using your one-time hybrid work payment.
