Valet Manager - JW Marriott

Reports To: Director of Operations 

Supervises: Valet Parking Associates

Job Purpose: The Valet Manager is responsible for the successful supervision and organization of the Valet Attendants. The Valet Manager must ensure that they are providing exceptional customer satisfaction by serving guests in a hospitable manner to ensure a positive guest experience during arrival and departure.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with brand standards and procedures for Valet services
2. Must maintain a safe working environment through ongoing compliance of safety guidelines
3. Evaluate the staffing requirements and create work schedules weekly adhering to budget goals
4. Ensure that the Valet desk is attended at all times and that posting positions are maintained
5. Communicate anticipated business demands daily with each associate
6. Ensure staff’s knowledge of hotel services, features and amenities
7. Assign specific tasks as they arise to the staff according to rotation sequence
8. Ensure proper training of proper use and care of guest’s vehicles while driving and parking
9. Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve issues to maintain high guest satisfaction
10. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
11. Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office products or related software.
3. Ability to multitask and remain organized.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills in a variety of situations.

Requirements

Education 

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience 

• At least two years of experience in the operation of Guest Services

Licenses/Certifications 

• Valid Class III Driver’s license and good Driver’s Abstract required. Provide evidence of insurability. CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
