Responsibilities
The Speech Language Pathologist 4 responsibilities include identification of signs and symptoms that signal appropriateness for SLP examination and also the actual examination, evaluation, planning, organizing, and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients. Participates in case conferences and discharge planning. Develops and implements developmentally and culturally appropriate education to meet needs of patient and family. Communicates effectively with other patient care team members and coordinates care provided. Coordinates/supervises student clinical educational experience. Work in an environment that involves critical care intervention and requires seven-day-a-week coverage.
Qualifications
Education
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
Doctoral Degree preferred
Experience
6 years of experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
SLP - State of California Speech Language Pathologist License required
NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role required
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
