Intro and job overview: You will be responsible for the financial and management accounting duties of EMEA entities. The position is control-orientated and ensures compliance with local and US GAAP accounting requirements in the recording and reporting of the financial transactions for EMEA entities including overseas subsidiaries and delivery of on-time, compliant statutory financial statements. We have our office in Poland in Bielsko-Biała but you are allow to decide if you would like to work remote, hybrid or on-site.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ownership of month-end entries (Payroll, Accruals, intercompany Transactions)
- Ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Leading the audit process for all accounts related to the tasks above.
- Handle the Flux monthly analysis and provide the required comments to FPA through the MEC.
- Produce local GAAP-compliant monthly management accounts (profit and loss and balance sheet), highlighting and communicating key drivers of performance to the Regional Financial Controller
- Play a key role in the preparation of the annual Group accounts.
- Assist in reviewing the statutory financial statements and accompanying footnotes and assist with multiple STAT audits and local filling.
- Adhoc analysis / Project as requested.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA - nice to have certification
- 3-5 years PQE in financial reporting.
- 2-3 years of experience working with Stat Filing in EMEA entities (Poland, GMBH,France, Netherlands, Italy, and UK).
- 2-3 years of US GAAP reporting experience is a plus.
- Experience in an audit firm is a plus.
- Proven experience in creating and implementing complex accounting matters.
- An excellent understanding of accountancy procedures and principles with significant IFRS102 experience as a fundamental
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider UK & global finance team, and an offshore shared finance service center.
- Excellent general IT user skills – Excel, Office, working knowledge Netsuite, Blackline, and Coupa.
- English language is a must.
