Job Description

Zscaler is looking for an experienced and highly driven Manager of Scrum Masters to lead our Agile project management initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. As the Manager of Scrum Masters, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring a team of Scrum Masters, collaborating with IT teams and leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and promoting Agile principles across the organization.
 

Responsibilities 

• Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of Scrum Masters, fostering their growth, skill development, and performance. Offer coaching and mentorship to enhance their expertise in Agile methodologies and practices.
• Drive the organization's Agile transformation by implementing and refining Agile frameworks, methodologies, and best practices. Collaborate with teams to ensure the successful adoption of Agile principles.
• Oversee the execution of Agile projects, ensuring that Scrum Masters facilitate effective Scrum ceremonies, manage backlogs, and facilitate communication between teams, stakeholders, and product owners.
• Foster collaboration between Scrum Masters, development teams, product owners, and stakeholders. Ensure alignment with business goals, project objectives, and customer expectations.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for optimizing Agile processes, increasing team efficiency, and delivering higher value to customers.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Agile teams and the impact of Agile practices on project outcomes. Provide regular reports and insights to leadership.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including senior management, to ensure transparency, alignment, and support for Agile initiatives.
• Address conflicts, challenges, and roadblocks within Agile teams or between teams and stakeholders. Use effective communication and problem-solving skills to promote collaboration and resolution.
• Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines, quality, or scope. Proactively address potential obstacles and ensure teams are prepared to handle unexpected challenges

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Proven experience (8+ years) in Agile project management, including experience as a Scrum Master
• Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, PSM, SAFe) is preferred.
• Previous experience managing or leading a team of Scrum Masters or Agile practitioners
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and practices
• Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on team development and growth
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with project management and Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Asana etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to drive Agile transformations and influence organizational change
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and process improvements
