Lead Doorman

Note: RemotelyHR is hiring on behalf of Goat Hill Tavern and The Boulevard.

Goat Hill Tavern and The Boulevard are hiring part-time Lead Doorman to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong guest service skills and be able to support all levels of staff.

As a doorman, you are responsible for providing customer service, promoting safety, and ensuring responsible alcoholic beverage consumption for guests. Must be able and is required to determine legitimacy of ID's and refuse service/entry to anyone overly intoxicated. Assist all team members in providing a positive and memorable experience at establishment and ensure a safe premise for all. Ability to quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Job Duties:

• Check all customer IDs to ensure everyone is of legal age.
• Preserve orderliness with all patrons and customers.
• Be able to identify and disallow entry to those already intoxicated or acting erratically.
• Ensure patrons and employee’s safety, following company procedures.
• Responsible for deducting any suspicious happenings and preventing vandalism, thefts, or any other criminal behavior.
• Escorting rowdy or unwelcome guests off our premises.
• Report urgent security-related matters to management and local authorities.
• Monitor in-and-out foot traffic.
• Assist with cleaning the bar and common areas.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Pay: Starts at $22, depending on experience

Requirements

• Must have excellent verbal communication abilities.
• Must have certifications: Security guard card.
• Critical thinker and problem-solver.
• Work well as a team member and independently.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced busy bar environment, while keeping a cool head during stressful situations.
• Previous experience as a doorman is a bonus, but not required.
