Senior Production Underwriter

Come be part of an exciting new MGA. Amynta EOB is writing property and casualty insurance and accident and sickness for the fire service.
Amynta EOB is looking for a senior underwriter with experience writing fire departments while coordinating with sales and senior management. The ideal candidate will have the potential to grow into the program manager for Amynta Fire & Rescue. Must have experience managing a $10M plus book of business with a proven track record of timely and accurate work. Must be dependable and meet deadlines. Must be able to learn new systems quickly and execute accurately. Must be comfortable building and using complex spreadsheets for carrier reporting.

Job Responsibilities:
Review all submission for accuracy and completeness.
Enter all pertinent data into proprietary rater and Alis.
Clear submission.
Make decision to pursue or decline business and prepare written communication to agent.
Rate all LOBs and prepare quote template.
Complete Underwriting Summary document covering all critical information.
Quote business to agent along with detailing any subjectivities. 
Request and review agency contract and agency data. 
Build positive and productive relationships with agents.
Follow up agents’ requests.
Participate in yearly face to face planning meetings.
Work with sales to gather any requested information and help close accounts.
Use experience to assist Sales in building distribution.

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will be expected to take on additional tasks and projects as needed to support the team.

Minimum Job Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
•    5 years underwriting experience in property and casualty lines
•    3 years underwriting fire departments
•    Potential to grow into Program Underwriting Management Position
•    Excellent Microsoft Suite Skills
•    Comfortable and proficient in EXCEL. (Complex spreadsheet building and management).
•    Excellent collaboration skills
•    Comfortable in start-up setting, where priorities can change rapidly
