Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a highly responsible position that coordinates the facilities operation under the direction of the Administrative Services Director. This position performs duties and responsibilities of overseeing building maintenance for three (3) sites for the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (FDOH - Citrus), overseeing and providing the maintenance, repairs, and security and assists with the policies and procedures governing same. Responsible for monitoring, tracking and accountability of inventory for all equipment, cars, etc. surplus of equipment. Requires independent judgment and decision making.
Emergency operations functions required of the incumbent include, but are not limited to, special needs shelters, Red Cross shelters, or other emergency functions, including responses to bioterrorism or threats of bioterrorism. Designated "Need to Know" position with access to confidential information. Adheres to State of Florida and Florida Department of Health, Citrus County Confidentiality and Security policies and procedures.
Serves as liaison with the Citrus County Facilities department and vendors that provide services at DOH-Citrus facilities. Coordinates with County Maintenance crews and contractors/vendors for all necessary installations, repairs, emergency repairs, and maintenance for DOH-Citrus facilities. Checks and inspects work when completed and provides weekly updates to ASDII. Coordinates repairs for medical and office equipment including setting appointments and requesting estimates. Assist all departments with interoffice moves and assembling of office- type equipment. Assists with minor repairs (such as assembling furniture, shelving, or equipment; changing light bulbs, hanging items on walls, replacing light/outlet covers, replacing ceiling tiles, touching up paint, plunging toilets, replacing carpet tiles, general maintenance work, etc.) as needed. Assists in keeping outside premises neat, clean, and orderly. Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds.
Analyzes and coordinates the logistical functions of the agency, or receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Keep records and compile inventory reports and is responsible for some or all of the entire life cycle of goods and commodities, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. Control the use, disposal, and security of all state and county-owned property. Identify and record state and county-owned property. Responsible for the disposition and transfer of property according to policy. Responsible for reporting stolen or vandalized property. Maintains and organizes an inventory of materials and supplies (including mailroom, janitorial, preparedness warehouse, and storekeeper room). Maintains an inventory of contracts associated with property, assets, and inventory, responsible for managing inventory systems, compiles reports on property and inventory stocks, assists in identifying, documenting, measuring, and improving property and inventory processes.
