Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing medical equipment and supplies within the Materials Management Department at UCLA Health. Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, and delivering linen, supplies, and equipment; maintaining inventory par levels; and ensuring supply rooms and work areas remain clean, organized, and well stocked. The role also involves picking, packing, and staging orders for delivery, entering data, and creating and maintaining accurate inventory documentation.

In addition, this position performs regular physical inventory counts and will cross-train in other Logistics areas, including Receiving, Patient Transport, and Materials Management, to support overall departmental operations.

  • Good record of a valid Class “C” California Driver’s License.

  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and to push or pull heavy transport carts.

  • Ability to use computers or electronic devices provided by the department to complete work assignments.

  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems or supply chain and warehouse management software.

  • Ability to understand and adhere to healthcare regulations for infection control.

  • Ability to understand and adhere to Materials Management, Receiving, and UCLA Health policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain positive working relationships across departments, using English effectively in both written and verbal formats.

  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment with coworkers, patients, and family members in a courteous and respectful manner.

  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and related tools.
