We're looking for a resourceful, self-driven IT Business Operations Specialist who will be a key player in driving operational efficiency and digital innovation across our fast-paced manufacturing and distribution business You'll collaborate with teams across Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales, while reporting directly to our IT Director.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between technology and business, thrives on solving complex problems. This role is ideal if you want to stretch beyond a traditional analyst support role and be part of something bigger – someone who sees change not as a challenge, but as an opportunity to grow.

This is an onsite role at Port Washington, NY. Occasional visits to other company's fulfillment centers might be required on a project-to-project basis. Remote flexibility is on needed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot operational issues across procurement-to-pay and order-to-cash processes.
  • Work hands-on with ERP, CRM, and WMS systems to support business operations and enhancement requests.
  • Capture, document, and translate business requirements into system or process changes.
  • Lead and support small to mid-sized projects, including scoping, communication, and delivery tracking.
  • Perform data analysis to support business decisions and ensure data quality and governance.
  • Assist with compliance efforts including SOX controls and audit documentation.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director on initiative prioritization and cross-functional coordination.
  • Occasionally work with the broader IT team on targeted projects or business cases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in IT, operations, or business systems roles.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and distribution company is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of procure-to-pay and order-to-cash business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, and WMS platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with ITSM systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to SOX compliance and public company environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Flexible work schedule – open to occasional extended hours or weekend support during IT projects.
  • A learner’s mentality – eager to take on new technologies, challenges, and responsibilities.
