About the Role:
BAA is seeking an experienced, strategic, and visionary Sr. Director of Product to lead the product portfolio across all BAA brands. This role is accountable for driving product innovation, revenue growth, and margin health across the tattoo, permanent makeup (PMU), and body jewelry markets. The Sr. Director will develop and execute a high-impact product roadmap aligned with year-over-year revenue and margin improvement goals and will collaborate across the business to ensure successful product execution.
This position requires a leader who brings not only operational excellence but also strategic insight—able to assess the current landscape, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive transformational change that delivers tangible business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Process Optimization
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team of category and project managers, cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with engineering and external manufacturers to ensure successful execution of the product roadmap into the market.
- Oversee and guide New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through launch, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with business goals.
- Establish and refine Product team processes that enhance efficiency, support prioritization of company objectives, and track accountability to deliverables.
- Strategically manage the vendor base to maximize innovation, ensure quality control, and enhance financial and inventory turn metrics.
2. Strategic Category Management & Lifecycle Ownership
- Lead category management with a focus on achieving revenue and margin growth, ensuring product strategy aligns with company objectives.
- Analyze market trends, emerging customer needs, and the competitive landscape to guide strategic decisions and identify white-space opportunities.
- Drive new product development by synthesizing data, artist feedback, and sales insights into actionable initiatives.
- Conduct seasonal SKU reviews to optimize product mix, manage obsolescence, and support profitability.
- Own annual line planning to ensure product categories are positioned to drive top-line growth and brand distinction.
- Provide data-driven pricing recommendations that balance market competitiveness with margin preservation.
