The vehicle product team leads product management for vehicle, hardware features and low-level software across ride hailing and delivery services. Our flagship product, the Cruise Origin, is the world’s first purpose-built, fully autonomous vehicle for mass production, developed in partnership with GM and Honda. We’re seeking a hardware Senior Product Manager to define the next-generation Origin vehicle, delivering vehicle experiences that safely empower, inspire and delight riders.
What you’ll be doing:
Define product requirements for vehicle features in the Cruise Origin
Coordinate with hardware and software engineering teams across Cruise and automotive partners to deliver features that improve the rider experience in the next-generation Cruise Origin
Set key metrics around quality, cost and scalability for product and engineering trade-offs
Develop timelines for product introduction. Track and report on project progress, proactively driving corrective action as needed. Presenting to company leadership and incorporating executive feedback to align with broader business goals.
Communicate goals, priorities, needs, expectations, and responsibilities across teams at Cruise and OEM partners
Effectively manage both short and long-term priorities across multiple projects in a hybrid hardware software development environment
What you must have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Proven track record of leading all aspects of a successful hardware product throughout its lifecycle
Relentless focus on understanding, prioritizing, and solving user needs
Ability for 15% travel
Ability to create clarity and next steps in an ambiguous multi-stakeholder environment
Ability to identify and act on process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
Ability to collaborate and communicate efficiently across teams and to executive teams
The salary range for this position is $146,300 - 215,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
